DNC Imam Tied to Muslim Brotherhood and Nation of Islam

Imam who gave invocation at DNC part of Muslim Brotherhood front-groups and comes from Nation of Islam mosque

On August 20, Imam Talib M. Shareef gave the invocation opening the 2024 DNC’s second night.

What the DNC may not know is that Shareef is connected to numerous Muslim Brotherhood organizations, denied that pro-Hamas campus protesters were anti-Semitic, and runs a D.C. mosque founded by and affiliated with the Nation of Islam.

He even celebrated the legacy of the late NOI “minister” Ava Muhammad, who once delivered an anti-Jewish rant so blood-curdling as to rival Louis Farrakhan himself.

The Biden administration and the Democratic National Committee must clarify why they chose to give this imam — linked to organizations steeped in hatred and violence — such a platform. They must explain and they must apologize.
